With online forums, webinars, and virtual fireside chats, we now have plenty of options to learn about biodiversity from the comfort of our own home!
BFFers, if you attend any other online events (organised by other groups, outside of the BFF Challenge), we would love to hear about what you’ve learned!
TASK
Completion of this entire activity (both Part 1 and Part 2) before the deadline (30 June 2020) will be counted as participation in one field trip.
Part 1: Attend a biodiversity-related event
- Attend a biodiversity-related event until 16 June 2020 (inclusive).
- These can be events shared by Joy or Lesley via BFF channels (i.e. email blast or WhatsApp group).
- If you would like to attend other events to as part of this activity, please email biodyouthsg@gmail with A) a short description of the event and B) relevant event URLs (if available).
- Only events with clear relevance to biodiversity in a Singapore context will be approved.
- Kindly email us at least 3 working days (Monday to Friday) before attending the event.
Part 2: Blog about it!
- Write a blog post, answering the following questions:
- Overview of event:
- Summary of content covered
- Summary of details about speakers/panel members
- What drew you to this event?
- What are 3 things you learned from this event?
- Having attended this event, what is 1 new insight you have gained?
- Identify 1 place/habitat mentioned by the speakers or that is relevant to this event, which you would like to visit.
- What is one thing you would like to experience at this place/habitat in future, and why?
- Overview of event:
- Upload your blog under the ‘External Activities’ category.
